Energy-plus Buildings (BEPOS)
An energy-plus house is a building that produces more energy than it consumes. This standard will be mandatory for all new buildings from 2020 on.
For this scenario it is necessary to minimize the energy requirement by reducing it to a "passive" standard. Thus the term BEPAS or Passive Building has been mentioned in reference with the concept of the Passive house created by our German and Austrian friends (Passiv Haus).
An energy-plus building is a passive building (BEPAS) that exceed its energy needs through renewable energy production.
