This large bioclimatic house was desired by the client. This house shows that one can go very far on the ecological plan without abandoning comfort and aesthetics. Its performances are that of a passive house. Even better the production of renewable energy makes the building an energy-plus building.
Its originality lies in its reversible mass stove which will assure not only the need for heating, but also to contribute to the cooling of the house in summer by using its important mass stove during this period. A thermodynamic simulation was conducted to calculate the impact of different possible scenarios to refine the selection and identify areas of the house requiring a specific hot or cold contribution depending on the time of the year.
Everything is designed and optimized up to the smallest detail: the mix of the construction techniques is used as a combination of the used materials. The position of the different elements has been designed to optimize their performance as well the comfort perceived by the user. The solar control is extremely pushed but appeals above all in simple solutions requiring little maintenance. The numerous glazed surfaces guided by the contemporary architecture of this vast villa impose joiner's workshops and very successful glazings to respect the objectives. The insulation and the sealing against air have required studies and a rigorous implementation. The green roof allows to compensate partially the carbon well that constituted the vegetation eliminated by the house but also to contribute to the thermal regulation of the building; in particular in summer by absorbing the main part of the solar attacks. |
